Winterbreak seems sooo long, once you finished the semester’s work. However, with jetlag, holiday season and me constantly thinking that I still have to study, my way to relax involved four days skiing in the Alps. Here are some impressions and explanations for my international friends to whom skiing might seem a little too freezing 😉
This is a “Germknoedel”: it is a fluffy dough, filled with plum jam and typically served with hot vanilla sauce, topped with a poppy seed & sugar mix.
On top of the mountain, there are many restaurants. One of my favorites is the “Pardorama”, because you have a scenic view.
On sunny days in March or April, many people lay down on this area and enjoy hot water with rum, which is called “Jagertee”
the mountains you can see here are actually on the other side of the valley. Deep down is Ischgl.
This is where you arrive with the cable car from Ischgl, the Idalp.
Every day of the season at 02.00pm, Apres-ski starts at this lodge: Paznauner Taja. You can hear seriously stupid music that you will recognize even if you do not know German 🙂
