Today I received the news that my H1-B work visa application made it through the lottery. 233000 people applied for H1-B this year, but only 65000 (plus 20000 with a Master’s degree) are drawn. And I am one of the lucky ones.

What does that mean?

Now it is on my company to show that I am qualified for my job.
